I've been a fan of this team forever---but now I am getting a different vibe than just a losing streak. They are not playing like they wanna win. They're playing like they have to win. Once you lose the entusiasm, you've lost me.

well since l am a caps fan l would love them to keep losing. everyone said at the beginning of the year that they would be going to the finals again. now seeing them go 2-8 in the last 10 makes me so happy. l just hope that the penguins will try to put up a fight against the caps on Wednesday. and hopefully the crosby vs ovechkin, malkin vs ovechkin, and now the crosby vs semin rivalry will keep this game close.

You can not call yourself a fan anymore? Part of being a fan is supporting your team no matter how well they're doing, not jumping on and off their bandwagon depending on current success.

All teams experience losing skids, you obviously do not follow hockey enough to realize that.

Sh!t happens!!! What did u do when they were tanking so they could draft Malkin & Crosby. If u r only a fan when they r winning then u r not a fan. l actually love to see the Pens suck just to see the fans jump off the wagon.

Do not know if u remember, but Detroit lost 9 of 10 games at one point last year when they were struggling with injuries to their defense. It made them stronger. Of course the Wings were in first place still that whole time so it did not matter.

What we r seeing is that the Pens have taken a HUGE step back from where they were last year. They lost too much, starting with the trade they made for Hossa. Sure they have Crosby, Malkin & a few other decent players, but not enough to contend for another couple of years. The East is way better than it was last year. Boston, Montreal, Washington, Philly, NYR, & New Jersey r all WAY better. IF the Pens make the playoffs, they will never get past the first round. What is even better is that Florida has a better record, & Toronto is not far behind.

I'd have to agree with Kate. l am disappointed in the Pens this season, but l remain a fan.

Teams do not need fans when they're winning. They need them to boost their morale when they're losing.
