I am going to buy my husband tickets to a Capitals game for Christmas. l wanna buy tickets for the Caps vs. Maple Leaves on Dec 28th. l am trying to decide where l should buy. We are trying to keep spending on presents for each other low (we just took an anniversary trip to Mexico) and l would like to know if the upper level seats at $35 each are good seats. Or should l splurge and get access to the club level acela or whatever that is?? I've been to the verizon center but not to a hockey game. Would you please answer: is it worth it to buy club level? and what section in the 400s is best?

l would be happy with any seats if my wife bought me that as a present. Sometimes if your to close you cant see very well. The higher up you see it all. Plus thats were the real fans sit.

Like the first poster said. Higher up is better at the phone booth. l have sat in the boxes and in the top and in the middle. Best is in the top. Especially now that games are hot and the place is consistently packed. That Leafs game will be good as there are a lot of Canadian ex pats in the DC area.

l personally like being up high because l get to see the whole arena and the whole rink. It is much better that way considering it is not that big compared to other arenas. Stick with the $35 ones. You will be glad you did.

l wish l could help but I've never been to a game before (sad, l know) but if he is like me, he will be happy with whatever he gets even if they are the cheapest tickets.

Those seat are becoming tough to get with the Capitals playing so well at home (13-1-1).

You should check E-Bay for some good deals/steals first. If you do not find something to your liking on there then purchase them on-line viewing best available.
